Would it be possible to make available the en-us-5.2-8k (not ptm) acoustic model? I tried to find that from the downloads section but could not find it there. Only the ptm 8k model is available.

I am already using the 5.1-8k model. Thought that the 5.2-8k model might perform a bit better and I could use that bit of extra punch. Would really appreciate if it is made available. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that. I tried the AM but there seems to be some problem with that. Pocketsphinx says it could not find the model definition file 'mdef' in the specified AM directory even though the mdef file is present there. It reads the feat.params file fine. Is the mdef file corrupted? or the whole AM corrupted? Could you please check. Thanks in advance.

You can get en-us-5.1-8khz, it should not be very different.

Any updates on this?
Ok, I finally shared https://sourceforge.net/projects/cmusphinx/files/Acoustic%20and%20Language%20Models/US%20English/cmusphinx-en-us-8khz-5.2.tar.gz/download
Take a look.

I verified and it works fine. You need to verify you didn't corrupt the files yourself.
Sorry, my bad. It was just a path reference error. I should have checked thoroughly the first time. The model works fine.
