I am very new to sphinx4 and actually fairly new to Asterisk as well so please forgive me if this is a stupid question. Is Sphinx4 able to handle the wav file output that Asterisk generates? I understand that is of lower quality than standard wav files so I didn't know if this would be a problem or not.
If it does work, are there any gotchas I should be aware of? Thanks in advance for the advice.
Regards,
Joe
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
It is, you just need 8 kHz model like communicator or wsj_8k. Seach this forum on configuration file information, you need to change number of filters and upper and lower frequences.

probably you want to look on it as well.
