Hi, Lately I have been using cmus-remote a lot -- my multimedia keys finally find use. Next I wanted to try a remote search and play cmus-remote -C "/$1" # (or something like dmenu could be nice here) cmus-remote -C "win-activate" This didn't work. But I did notice that if you put the search in cmus manually (and beforehand) and use search-next and win- activate, it will work. This led me to believe that having a settable search variable would be a convenient addition. e.g. in a script like this: echo "set search-variable=$(dmenu < ~/.cmus/search-history) search-next win-activate" | cmus-remote -- Free comparison of top car rental companies.
