All right, I'll be the first in this forum to introduce myself.
My name is Ron Arts, I am the CEO of two companies in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. One is an ISP, and the other is a VoIP company.
I want to implement Compiere starting 1 Jan 2006 with PostgreSQL, not because of Oracle costs, but its complexity, and it being closed source (I don't like vendor lockin).
We cannot donate programming capacity, but we want to be a testing site. We might need some help setting it all up, but we have plenty of knowledgable people here.
Also we run Linux on all desktops (except accounting), and on all servers.
I hope we can get this postgres thing going....

I have the will to help everyone who needs Developer help for Compiere, so I'm open to work with all of you. But please do not except to be hero and to develop all your requiremnts, because i have private projects which are with priority.
The first thing that a developers needs is source codes and tasks that he could accmplish. As far as i see cmpcs has sources, i'm not sure if theis sources are latest.
Also i'm new to Postgres, but i have running installation of Libero on my win 2000 prof.
Now i'm working on extension for XML2AD tool that will allow everyone to migrate AD changes from version to version. Because XML2AD stores data in xml files it can be used to work with any DB. So i can help mostly with testing of cmpcs. I have submited current version of XML2AD into patches section of compilo project, any comments are appreciated.

Do You installed Kompiere 252d or 252b on winXP.
I installed 252d sussceully, but don't know how to install 252d with new jar dump. From ground or is any way how to install 252d over 252b?

sorry, I have installed 252b CL . Not 252d.
