On some QT4 applications like subdownloader there are checkboxes in tree lists that cannot be checked clicking in them. It does not happen with the oxygen style.

hmmm... i installed subdownload 2.0.10 and can confim that one cannot check subtitles by clicking the checkbox, but it doesn't work with _any_ style (ok, tried only cleanlooks & oxygen ;-)

Also the replied SE_ViewItemCheckIndicator rect is correct (i monitored it by injecting some debug code into bespin) so i'm rather under the impression, that this is an issue of this particular program =\
(rightcliking seems to check items and this is properly hinted by all tested styles in the same way)

    a) what version of subdownloader do you use?
    b) what Oxygen ie. KDE version do you use?
    c) Did you observe any other checkboxes like this (looks like a custom widget)

I'm using subdownloader 2.0.13 in Kubuntu Maverick (KDE 4.5.2).

I've just tested it and it works ok with oxygen but not with bespin.
I think that I've seen this widgets in other applications but I can't remember where.

wahhhhh got it - it doesn't work if you use single click selection (what's part of the "be rather maccish" option in input/system) - because only windows uses doubleclicks ;-)
and don't ask me how i figured it, we'll assume that i'm just a genius ;-P

since i've the same rule in the kde configuration and meanwhile Qt listens to the KDE setting (in case you're running KDE...) i got the same behaviour with all styles.

i'll try to find some sort of workaround, but this is an application bug, since
    a) this is a valid Qt behaviour setting
    b) this way subdownloader won't work on MacOS at all - neither i think in gnome sessions or using the clearlooks/cde/motif style

(therefore i keep the bug open - as it is - but nevertheless reject it, since it's not a bug in bespin (but either subdownloader or Qt - in case this is a regular treeview behaviour, i don't know it though - KDE has sth. similar but it's a KDE thing)
