#55 VMWare Workstation 11
After Upgrading to VMWare Workstation 11 Clonezilla can't access network. Emu für win 7 is working. For Win 8 and newer VMWare seems to cause problems now. On Workstation 10 all is working fine. Tested with stable and utopic also newest release from february 2015.
I confirmed this issue.
The network card Intel 82574L does not work on Linux kernel 3.19 from Ubuntu Vivid (clonezilla-live-20150323-vivid-amd64.iso).
I need to make sure if your case is the same.
Please run "lspci" to show the ethernet controller then post it.

I just downloaded the daily build Ubuntu 15.04 iso:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-desktop-next/daily-live/current/vivid-desktop-amd64.iso
and tested it on the MS Windows 8.1 client machine on VMWare Workstation 11, this issue still remains. The e1000e kernel module has a kernel oops.
I have filed a bug report to the upstream, i.e. Ubuntu here:

A workaround is to edit the *.vmx file, change
ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000e"
to
ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000"
