As a solution to the problem arised here: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2183232&forum_id=663168

I added an option to set "first" as the drive, causing clonezilla to use the first available drive (found from /proc/partitions).

Please integrate this patch into clonezilla.

It might be better to check for mounted drives, like in get_input_dev_name.

    Did you try this patch with multicast restoring ? I think more modifications are required to make it work.

    OK, Clonezilla 2.3.1-57 now contain this function. However, the word is "1st-disk" instead of "first", and this function will only work for unicast.

    I added a patch for multicast. For some odd reason (I think there are a few bugs in SF's new system), the comment I added wasn't submitted.

    Well, there seems to be an intended blocking of tmp image creation on multicast. I don't understand why this is necessary.

    The patch I've included removes these blocks. I would be happy to know why they were there in the first place.
