Hi. Brand new to Clonezilla, and want to use it to mirror a bootable hard drive. And, I am not even sure if that is the correct term--I want to basically migrate my Windows 7 and 8.1 systems to larger hard drives, and keep the originals as emergency install boot disks. In short, what Clonezilla will need to do is create booting hard drives that are clones of the originals, but larger.

Can anyone steer me to a help file that covers this, or suggest a few pointers?

    Thanks!

    Update: Found this page:

    http://clonezilla.org/show-live-doc-content.php?topic=clonezilla-live/doc/03_Disk_to_disk_clone

And followed what is said. Disk appears cloned, down to partitions and sizes. EXCEPT: The Boot disk's main partition lists as:

Healthy (Boot, Page File, Crash Dumps, Primary Partition)

And the cloned disks main partition lists as:

    Healthy (Primary Partition)

    And, naturally, will not boot.

Any ideas on what I did wrong?

Did you try to use the MS Windows installation CD to boot and fix the boot loader?

    Steven.
