I have been trying to use the latest clonezilla to image drives, but have found that I'm unable to get an ip address through DHCP when trying to mount a SAMBA server. I think this is to do with clonezilla not supporting my motherboard (it's a fairly new model Asus with an Atansic L1 internal LAN card).
I have been able to find the linux drivers for the LAN card though on the Atansic website. Could someone please explain to me how I go about installing this into Clonezilla? Either that or point me in the right direction?

Many thanks in advance and season's greetings to all!!

I don't know if this helps but, if you search the forums for 'Dell 755 of Death', you will find a post from someone having the exact problem I've got with missing LAN drivers. Steven Shiau has given some details but I don't understand really because I'm not a clued-up Linux person. Maybe it might help you. If it does, and you can help me, please let me know, I'm fairly desperate.

That's true. Unless the vanilla kernel supports, it's not easy to do that. You need to know some of the skills about that.
For the time being, we are trying to have a clonezilla live based on Ubuntu 7.10, however, still can not make it. If we can make it, it's easier to deal with these kernel related problem.
I can not guarantee such a clonezilla live will be created, since right now we know there are some problems between "live helper" and Ubuntu 7.10.
