I have created a disk-image of an HP ProBook 450 G5 with Clonezilla, and afterwards created a recovery-iso which has been "burned" to an USB (tried with both LiLi and Rufus and .zip).
Now when I try to use this bootable USB to create a clone on another (or the same HP) it fails with this error and exits to a "progress login" prompt.
It seems to be booting correctly from a Lenovo laptop - perhaps the issue is related to some setting in the BIOS/EFI?
I am using:
Clonezilla 2.5.2-31-amd64
Windows 10
HP ProBook 450 G5 (Secure boot disabled, legacy support enabled)
Tried boot from both uEFI and Legacy with same errors.

Problem solved.
I used the alternate clonezilla version "20170905-zesty-amd64" to create my recovery-iso.
OK, thanks for sharing that.
