    Hello,

I've used Clonezilla SE for a couple of years with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop as the Operating System and have successfully installed Clonezilla SE without any problems.

Today, however I ran into the following error during the DRBL setup after the drblsrv -i command.

    Errors were encountered while processing:
    /var/cache/apt/archives/syslinux_2%3a5.10+drbl-1_i386.deb
    /var/cache/apt/archives/syslinux-common_2%3a5.10+drbl-1_all.deb
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Warning! Some necessary packages are not installed! If you continue, maybe something will go wrong! It is better to exit now and check your /etc/apt/sources.list and internet link!

I'm using the stable version and have tried on two different servers and a virtual machine. Same error.

I need some help with this since we use Clonezilla in several of our locations and need to deploy two more servers.

    Thank you.

Sorry, the doc on the website ( http://drbl.org/installation/) is out-of-date. Due to the packages dependence issue, now only Ubuntu 12.04 or newer system is supported. Please upgrade to Ubuntu 12.04 or newer then install drbl.
From what your post, looks like your purpose to use DRBL is for Clonezilla SE purpose. Therefore you can also use DRBL live (http://drbl.org/download/) to make that.
    Sorry for the pain.

    Steven.

      Hi Steven,

Good news! Instead of Ubuntu 12.04, I used Debian 6 and installed DRBL / Clonezilla SE with no problems.

      Thank you!
