When I network boot the Dell Optiplex 755 SFF it tells me "The driver of network card is NOT found!"
Should I download syslinux 3.70? If so, do I burn it to cd and boot the optiplex755 I'm trying to image with that syslinux 3.70 CD or will something need to change on the server side?
Did you mean Clonezilla live CD or you have installed a GNU/Linux and with DRBL installed ?
The problem you encountered looks like should be the problem of driver in your GNU/Linux, not on the syslinux.

I have a Clonzilla server on fedora 8. I believe the machine is so new the driver isn't on the server. Does that make sense and do you have any suggestions?
Sorry for being so painfully new to linux.
Thanks,
Maureen

I'm having the exact same problem as in this thread: : http://www.nabble.com/NIC-fails-on-Boot-to17244776.html#a17464229

Also, at this site: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/Testing/ which file should I download?
I am a complete beginner to linux so I need things spelled out for me. Thanks for any help at all,
Maureen

Hi and thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I have a Clonzilla server on fedora 8. I believe the machine is so new the driver isn't on the server. Does that make sense and do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Some solutions,
1. Install Fedora 9, which comes with kernel 2.6.25 or later. Your NIC should be supported.
2. Follow the following to compile the driver by yourself:
http://drbl.sourceforge.net/faq/index.php#path=./2_System&entry=35_compile_module_in_client.faq
Thanks very much I'll do that!
Maureen
Another question please, can I upgrade from fedora 8 to 9 without rebuilding the server?
Also, if I try to compile, where do I get the code for the driver?
thanks again for any help,
Maureen
Yes, you can upgrade Fedora 8 to Fedora 9, of course.
After that, you can follow this to upgrade DRBL:
