I have a Dell latitude D620 that I'm trying to pxe boot. This laptop has a Broadcom 57xx onboard nic. When trying to pxe boot I get the following:
usb 2-2.3.2: Product 02Micro CCID SC Reader
usb 2-2.3.2: Manufacturer: 02
usb 2-3.3.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
The cursor flash and nothing happens
I wait about three mins and press enter.
I get a # sign.
I was able to use this same laptop as a Clonezilla Server without any problems but I can't use it as a pxe client.
I using Clonezilla Server 1.0.2-13-486
I'm going to try and use a Dell optiplex 745 desktop as a Clonezilla Server tomorrow and see if I can use a Dell optiplex 745 as a pxe client.

All of these have the same onboard wired nic:
optiplex 745, gx620
latitude d620, d630, d820, d830
I'm going to see what happens when I get to work and try to pxe a Dell optiplex 745 that has the same nic as the latitude D620.

I'm going to try this on the D620 tonight. http://drbl.sourceforge.net/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/82_force_to_load_nic_module_for_client.faq#82_force_to_load_nic_module_for_client.faq
I knew the network card of my DRBL client is supported by the kernel, however it fails to load the module during PXE booting. What can I do?
The problem maybe on the initrd system can not identify your networt card of client machine correctly while it is trying to load the kernel modules.
If you are sure the module for the network, say, it's "tg3", then you can run the following command on the server to force the module to be loaded during booting:
I'm not using the server version. I typed /opt/drbl/sbin/mknbi-nic -modules "tg3" and /opt/drbl/sbin/mknbi-nic -modules tg3 in the DRBL Live version and I can't get this command to work. Does anyone know how I can get a D620 to load a Broadcom 57XX using PXE when using the DRBL Live CD on the other computer instead of the server version?

DBRL Live 1.0.0-9 is working! I'm able to pxe boot a Dell latitude D620.
Did you mean DRBL live 1.0.2 did not work while 1.0.0-9 is working?
Steven.
OK, I realized from another post https://sourceforge.net/projects/drbl/forums/forum/675794/topic/3582741
Do you know your NIC need firmware or not?
BTW, please do not post the same question on different forums. Thanks.
Steven.
