    Hi guys!
I have now tried several ways of installing clonezilla server edition on Debian 11 Xfce...
I have tried stable, testing and unstable and get the same error on all of them....
Have tried three different clients and still get the same error...
When installing drbl I don't get any errors or warnings...
    Has anyone any suggestions?
I can't show all the text just what was on screen when booting from a client computer...

I have two computers with the Debian 11 Xfce and I am getting the same error as above?!
Has anyone got this working on Debian 11?

There is a bug about installing stable DRBL on Debian 11.1, but it works for 11.0.
Therefore, for Debian 11.1, please try unstable DRBL. Maybe it works.

    Hi Steven!
I have tried that on two different machines with the same error on all versions....BUT
I have a solution that works for me at the moment until the bug is fixed...
I have set up ssh in my server....
I now boot from a live usb and create my images which are automatically moved to the server on port 22....
I would like to know how to amend the boot script so that I can add and remove things to make the process more streamlined.
Can you point me in the right direction?
For examples when I run the live clonezilla it looks for wifi and network cards....just would like to remove wifi out of the equation....not needed....
It would be nice to set up the script with a few changes,,,,,

Thanks as always for your time!

    Much appreciated!

"when I run the live clonezilla it looks for wifi and network cards....just would like to remove wifi out of the equation....not needed...." -> So if you know which kernel module is used by that wifi device, maybe you can use "rmmod xxx" to remove it. Then it should not be shown in /proc/net/dev.
Of course, it's possible we can add a boot parameter to exclude that device, so that in the future ocs-live-netcfg will exclude that. Maybe that meets your need?

    Hi again!
Sounds good with a boot parameter to exclude it....I work from home and will never need the wifi option when cloning... I was trying to speed up the process.....;)

    Thank you!

We have added a boot parameter "ocs_nic_type" which you can assign the network card type, e.g.,
      ocs_nic_type="wired"
      or
      ocs_nic_type="wireless"
If none is assigned in boot parameters, ocs-live-netcfg will prompt you to choose which type you want to use.
Please give it a try and let us know the results. Thanks.

Had a little hiccup that threw me for a few minutes....
I rebuilt my server with the motherboard I had been testing with ssh...
I have two pci express ports and decided to move my network card...without thinking about the fact it would change my /etc/network/interfaces configuration...
When I connected a new computer it kept giving me:

    /home/partimag -p 22 -o noatime
    read: connection reset by peer

I first checked the ssh server and that was running... I then checked firewall settings...all ok...
    Lastly I checked /etc/network/interfaces...
It turned out that I had set my second network card for enp6s0 and because I physically moved its position on the motherboard...it had become enp4s0.....so I made changes...restarted the network and now I have ssh connection again....
Just thought I would add this just in case someone else gets caught out like this...

    Hi Guys!
The above has come back to haunt me....I have checked all settings...works great...
I know the network card is ok as I ran a standard test connecting to client and it worked....
I have had a problem with a new computer so I tried the live version and tried connecting all ways and it wouldn't work..
I tried my network adapter and ssh and got the read: connection reset by peer...
I tested this on an older machine same problem ....although I can connect to the client and clone it the usual way...boot network card in client
I have checked network card settings and everything is ok....I tried turning off firewall....still getting the same error...
I did a reinstall of drbl and the same error....
Is there anything else that can cause this error?

So what are the error messages on the screen? Please take some photos and post them. It's easier for us to understand more.
    Thanks.

It looks like you entered the wrong IP address? It should be only "192.168.10.254", no "HPDebian..." in the beginning.
