    Hello Clonezilla!

I recently did a full backup of my hard disk using the savedisk function of Clonezilla. This backup included 3 NTFS partitions and 2 Linux partitions (ext4 and swap).

I made some changes to my ext4 partition after doing this backup and I would like my backed up ext4 partition to be restored.

Can I restore just the ext4 partition from my full disk image backup without affecting the other partitions on my hard drive? I attempted to use the restoreparts function, however I got the impression that it was going to restore all the partitions of the backup to the space where the ext4 partition resides.

    Thanks!

"Can I restore just the ext4 partition from my full disk image backup without affecting the other partitions on my hard drive?" -> Yes, with "restoreparts", by default it won't repartition you destination disk, and will only restore the partition(s) which you choose.
//NOTE// Still, you'd better to backup important data before you do such kind of restoring. Just in case.

    Steven.
