Trying to use clonezilla live to clone some hp stream laptops.
I can get the process to complete but the cloned machine will not boot gives a kernel data inpage error. Does clonezilla work with emmc type memory?

Okay since this has got alot of views I dont want to be that guy. I think i have figured out my issue. Not sure what exactly of these fixed my issue but heres what i did. In making the image i chose expert. On the which clone program screen I chose -q Priority: ntfsclone > partimage > dd. On the next screen I chose -nogui -rm-win-swap-hib -ntfs-ok. left the zip as default top choice. Also left the size of split files alone at 2000mb. skip checking on both next screens. On restoring the image again chose expert. on the options page chose -nogui and -t1. Partition Page Selected default use partition table from image. -reboot on next screen. The one problem i may run into is the cloned device asked to activate after. which we all know is a pain to get the key in win 8 so i have to test so more.

OK, what I meant was Clonezilla live runs on GNU/Linux, therefore if your device is supported by GNU/Linux, then Clonezilla should run. It could save and restore the image for you.
Apparently some options fit your windows 8. Thanks for sharing that.
Steven.

If it's supported by Linux kernel, then it's not an issue.
Do you know if it's supported by Linux kernel?
Steven.
