HI,
i was using the previous version of 1.2.1-53 from a CD ROM on my Ubuntu 8.10 64BIT AMD Phenom II x940 system with two SAMSUNG SATA HD Drives to create backups on a external IDE HD that was attached every time it was needed (when i wanted to backup something).
Everything was working fine.............. until now! :(
When i now try to create a backup (Partimage) of my Ubuntu partition clonezilla creates almost an empty image. I tryed to do it on another HD and also on one internal SATA HD but with the same result. The image was empty.
Then i tryed it with the latest version 1.2.1-53 but with the same result. Clonezilla is producing empty images. I also tryed with different option like with hidden MBR, different compressions, different cloning methods but the result remains the same.
Now it can be that i changed my partitions lately (one logical drive got deleted) but i am sure i did it long ago and clonezilla was working fine.
Is clonezilla backing up only changed parts of a partimage or is it creating a backup of a whole independent partition as intended????
Does that phenomena sound familiar to someone or can anybody help?
Thanks + best regards!

Illuminate7,
Clonezilla creates a new, independent image every time, no matter your system is updated or not.
Maybe you'd better to show the steps you have done in details, and tell us if any error messages shown on the screen. Also the contents of your /home/partimag/, by running:
find /home/partimag -print
It will be easier for us to see what's wrong there.
Steven.
