Hello,

no success with intention to device-image a Win7 disk to an image for backup purpose.

Clonezilla 2.6.7 is hanging hours with message
Saving block devices attributes in ...

Tired also with

different architecture (amd64, i686)

different version (2.6.7, 2.5.6)

different backup media (Toshiba 1T USB, 4T USB)

Source is 256GB SSD / 315GB HDD

Settings are beginner with no encryption, no check

Source disk has been checked with chkdsk

Any advice appreciated.

No idea if it's hardware issue, or Linux kernel issue. How about giving Clonezilla live >= 2.7.0-5 or 20201022-groovy a try?
