    Hi,

First, thanks for a really good piece of software.

I have a little problem. We got a Proliant DL350 server with 4 disks (RAID 1) and 2 logical volumes. When I try to use Clonezilla Live, the first disk is not cloned.

    Best regards,

    Francisco

PD. If you need to translate your software to spanish, please tell me.

    Below some information:

clonezilla-live-1.0.7-18 should work for cciss, although it is reported that it's broken in 1.0.9-10. We are working on fixing the bug in 1.0.9-10. The problem is, no cciss card here, so it takes time to fix that.

I'm having a similar issue, though I'm not using cciss.  With the current version of Clonezilla Live 1.0.9), if I tell it to save both disks (sda and sdb), it only saves sdb.  If I tell it save just sda, it will.   I've tried various different options, but it doesn't want to save them together.

An older version of Clonezilla (not sure which number, but it wasn't that old) saves the image with no issues.

This bug was fixed in Cloneizlla live version 1.0.10-6:
          http://clonezilla.sourceforge.net/download/sourceforge/

If possible, could you please test it and tell us your results.
          Thanks in advance.

      Hi,
Could you boot clonezilla live 1.0.9-18
      http://opensource.nchc.org.tw/clonezilla-live/testing/clonezilla-live-1.0.9-18.iso
      and try it again ?
If it fails, please run this in the command line:
      1. sudo su -
      2. /opt/drbl/sbin/create-cciss-mapping
      3. ls -alF /dev/sd*
Then post the results of 2 and 3.

      Thanks.

      The command create-cciss-mapping

        Francisco,
Which version of clonezilla live are you using ? Did you try Clonezilla live 1.0.10-6 (http://free.nchc.org.tw/clonezilla-live/testing/clonezilla-live-1.0.10-6.iso) ?

        • Francisco Gonzalez

          Steven,

          I try with the 1.0.8.18.

I will try with the version 1.0.10-6 tonight, do you want to run tests with it? any special indications? or I should repeat your instructions in the post 2008-03-06 02:55.

          Francisco

            Francisco,
Yes, please test clonezilla live 1.0.10-6 with your machines. Do a normal backup for 2 disks and restore the image if you can.
Please let us know your results.
            Thanks.

            Steven.

      Steven,

I have tried with the 1.0.10-6, the behaviour was the same. It did the clone of the sdc disk and it's partitions, but ignore all the sdb partitions.

      What's the next move?.

      Francisco

I did a test here (without cciss, only multiple disks), and it works here.
Is there any cciss device in your multiple disks system ?
        BTW, how about 1.0.10-7 ?
