selection of german keymap fails / violates

Hello Clonezilla Forum,
I use the actual 2.5.2-31. I tried to select the German Keyboard layout, but the layout still remains to "US".
After selection there is a short time, where I can read a message which contains the words "3 violates". Searching for it I found that it could be "adding map 3 violates explicit keymaps line".
May you have please a hint, how I can fix this? It's so hard to enter special characters on the command line. ;-( In an earlier version of clonezilla (2.x) the selection was functionable.

Clonezilla is really very useful and I am thankful that it exists!
Thanks for your bug report. Are you able to reproduce this issue on testing Clonezilla live, like >= 2.5.5-23 or 20180118-*?

Hi Steven, thank you for your prompt reply. Yesterday I read (after the time of my posting) in the forum, that someone had luck with using the alternative version of clonezilla instead of the stable. I loaded down the alternative. But when I made a file comparison between stable and alternative, the program says that both are identical!? No matter what, I write the alternative on the USB Stick (and overwrite the old version :-( . And, I could believe it, it does use the german keymap after selecting it. Therefore, my problem is solved. For whatever reason, the old version shows that it is 2.5.2-31 (I think, I was downloading it in december) and the actual downloaded should be 2.5.2-31 (as written on the sourceforge website). The alternative version should be the same as the stable. The filename is clonezilla-live-20170905-zesty-amd64. And this version loads the right keymap. Okay, Miracles happen again and again. BTW: when I go on sourceforge.net/projects/clonezilla/files there is a green button "Download latest version", but it selects not the newest stable version, but rather 20160210-wily. Presumbly the text and function of the button had to be updated.
Hello Steven, I found the old iso which I downloaded in mid of november. Attached is an image, which shows the first level of differences between old stable (left side) and new "alternative" (which is binary identical to the new stable I downloaded). I speculate that I have downloaded from different sites and the other sites maybe had errors in the file structure. But now I have a version which allows german keymap and I am happy again.
