I am successfully using Clonezilla on many system using onboard RAID. For example Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 and M58p (Intel RST) as well as Fujitsu TX1320 (MegaRAID) work perfectly, i.e. I get the necessary /dev/md126 to be able backup and restore.

On a HP ProLiant ML150 Gen9 server using a HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i onbaord RAID controller, I only get both the phyical member disks as source (backup)/target (restore) as shown at

    https://beilagen.dreael.ch/Diverses/Clonezilla_HP_ProLiant_ML150_Gen9_RAID_issue/IMG_20260122_164727.jpg

For deep analysis, I collected so many informations as pssible from the Windows Server 2012R2 installation as well as the Clonezilla live environment:

    https://beilagen.dreael.ch/Diverses/Clonezilla_HP_ProLiant_ML150_Gen9_RAID_issue/

The Windows disk management shows the logical RAID volume as HP LOGICAL VOLUME SCSI Disk Device while /proc/mdstat does not show any kind of RAID device.

Thanks in advance for deeper analysis about this issue/adding the necessary kernel driver on the next Clonezilla release.

RAID is complicated. Especially software RAID. Clonezilla actually does not support RAID well due to the complexity. If you can reproduce this issue in a virtual machine, please share the VM so that we can try to improve Clonezilla.
    Thanks.
