Is it possible to create a bootable USB (yes, I did that) and then place the images in home/partimag/<name>. This is what it looks like on a bootable recovery USB with one image.</name>

So can I just add another and then select my restore image?

Yes, just put the image on your USB flash drive, and when you boot Clonezilla live, remember to choose "toram" option in the boot menu, then you can mount the USB flash drive as image repository.
