Hi Steven
I tried to use clonezilla-live-20170829-artful-amd64 today in KMS mode to clone a desktop PC and it quickly failed to load and hung. I tried it from 2 different USBs so I don't think it was a media error. So I went back to clonezilla-live-20170824-artful-amd64 and it worked just fine. Let me know if you want any more info.
Chuck

OK after more tests it does work but takes a very unusually long time to get past the screen posted above. I just didn't wait long enough. Sorry for the report.

Hi Chuck,
I believe this is linux kernel/hardware support issue. Maybe it will be gone after we use the updated Linux kernel from upstream in the future.
Thanks.

@Chuck,
OK, I found this is not related to Linux kernel, while it's about this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nplan/+bug/1697730
So when you are able to run command in the shell after booting Clonezilla live, run
sudo systemd-analyze blame
Then you should be able to see systemd-networkd-wait-online.service takes the longest time. In my virtual machinie, it took about 2 more minutes.
Still this issue is not fixed in the upstream... So I suggest you can try the Debian-based Clonezilla live. No idea why there is no such issue in Debian-based Clonezilla live.

Hi Chuck,
OK, I disabled that service and release another testing one: 20170920-artful: http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
Let me know if this issue remains. Thanks.

I've attached a photo of the console when it stopped.
Hi Steven
I'm getting the same failure on the same PC with clonezilla-live-20170905-artful-amd64. Let me know if I can send you any more info.

Hi Steven
I tested clonezilla-live-20170920-artful-amd64.iso today and it worked great without any delays. Thank you for the new version.
