Trying to image an old hard drive to an SSD. the drive is 512g with only about 130G in use. What is the simplest way to get this imaged to the new 480g SSDs that I've got? Tried going directly. Tried turning on 'ignore size' and create proportional...? something or other I found in another thread, tried copying to image then imaging to the new SSD, but that gives me an 'unable to find target partition "SDA1"...
What am I missing here??
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
Thanks. Tried both and neither worked, that's when I remembered I'm NOT a first time user. Actually tried clonezilla a while back and had the same issues. Got Macrium Reflect Free and got all three systems imaged in an afternoon.

Method 2 is better.
