Clonezilla 2.4.2-32 Target Clone Won't Boot

I have used Clonezilla for years with no problems. Recently while cloning my system drive, however, Clonezilla failed on a bad sector. I re-ran with -rescue, and it completed with no errors, but the resulting disk does not boot, simply hangs with no error indication. (The old system drive still boots properly.) I am using Clonezilla Live, 2.4.2-32. Any suggestions?
Which OS did you clone?
Can you tell if the problem is on the boot loader, or the file system?
