We are working on a notebook.
We used clonezilla to save its three partitions: the boot partition of Win7 Home Premium, the Windows 7HP partition and the "factory recovery" partition.
We have also saved the only factory recovery partition in another image.
At the creation of the images there were not errors and the image was usable.

Now we not able to restore them, maybe we did not understand what is the right way to do it.
We tried with the disk without any partitions, but we tried also creating tre partitions. Obviously we do not know the exact dimensions of the original partitions.

In both cases the operation is faulty.
We would be enough to get the recovery partition if this is bootable. Or all three partitions with the right Windows startup.

Thanks in advance for some advices and help.

What do you mean with "the image was usable", if you say that you can't restore with that image one sentence after that?

Is your BIOS uefi-based? Do you use Windows 32 or 64 bits?
What options did you enter in CloneZilla?
Do you restore to the roginal disk?

    Cheers,
    Sando

Creating the images we asked the verify.
Clonezilla ends with two messages: there are not errors and "the image/s is/are usable" (I don't remember the exact message).

The PC is BIOS base; 4GB RAM; Win 7 Home Pro 64b.
Clonezilla 64. Standard items in menu, no options. Images into external USB Disk.

The PC disk is the original disk, but as I said, without partitions over.
