Thanks for Clonezilla. I am using it to clone a 120GB HDD, still in the laptop, to a 120GB SSD in a usb drive caddy. Source has 7 partitions: WinXP and several linuxes. I experienced the following issues:
1) When running from a MXLinux live flash drive, during the partition information stage it mounted each of the source partitions and opened file manager, then failed with "partition is busy".
2) When running from a clonezilla live flash drive (2.5.6-22-i686), all went smoothly until shortly after cloning began, when the progress screen got garbled (photo attached). There are 3 numbers that continue to change. What appears to be the time to completion has steadily increased until it now reads ">29 hrs". What might be the transfer rate has steadily decreased, now at 1.48M. Is it worth letting it continue? If not, what should I do differently next time?
Thanks if you're able to reply. Otherwise, this is just FYI.

Looks like there was a kernel panic. Have you tried newer Clonezilla live, like 2.6.0-37 or 2019018-cosmic?
