I tried to clone a dual boot Vista 32/ W7 64 dual boot drive with Clonezilla. Both OS paritions are protected by respective versions of Bitlocker. However it was uncessful. Procedure was leave old HDD in same HD slot and clone using Clonezilla on USB to new HDD in the Ultrabay. When I reboot the Thinkpad BIOS seems to identify the new drive (so its not a HDD connecton issue) but shows "no OS found." Can someone tell me what is wrong? First conclusion I made myself is because Bitlocker is enabled Clonezilla can't image the whole drive successfully. However, I did see in the Clonezilla GUI something about file system not being compatible and that it would image/copy the parition sector by sector. Can someone illuminate on what is wrong and point me in the right direction? This is for a T61.

If the file system is encrypted, then Clonezilla won't be able to image or clone it in an efficient way. It will use dd to do a sector-by-sector copy, and the boot loader might not work. You might have to manually tune it.
