My HP laptop came with Windows 10 on a 256GB SSD. I have a 1TB SSD I would like to use instead, but the default partition table on the 256GB SSD is
1, 260MB, EFI System
2, 16MB, Microsoft Reserved
3, 116.6GB, Microsoaft basic data
4, 694MB, Windowsrecovery data
5, 11.1G, Microsoft basic data
Partition 3 contains Windows and partition 5 contains the "recovery media".
If I use the "automatic resize" in Clonezilla when copying to the 1TB SSD, partition 3 gets expanded to 906GB and partition 5 gets expanded to 46.6GB.
Is there a way to only expand partition 3? Partition 5 does not need to be any larger than 11.1GB and I would rather have the 35GB in partition 3.
I have tried to manually create a partition table to the sizes I desire using cfpart and parted, but the system will not boot when I do so saying that "recovery is needed"
Thanks

Did you try GParted live (http://gparted.org) to resize the partition after restoring?
It might be easier.
