    Hello,
I think you really need to work on a automated solution for cloning larger hard drive onto a smaller one as cloning on a SSD is getting popular.

Should not be very hard, just resize the largest partition in a way to fit the smaller destination.

At the moment I droped cloning to use gparted and just copy partition by partition to achiev that.
As I do that on windows computer, then I use a repair disk of windows to fix the MBR and then everything works fine.

But I would love to just use a simple command on clone zilla to just clone on smaller HD with an option saying "resize largest partition to fit the smaller HD".

In the expert mode, you can try to use the option "-k1" and "-icds" to make that. However, this is not always working, especially your partition layout is complicated, or the used blocks are outside the boundary of destination partition.

    Steven.
