I used an old ext USB Samsung disk of 1.4 GB to prepare my clone source.
The original machine has
sda 8:0 0 953.9G 0 disk |-sda1 8:1 0 1G 0 part /mnt/backup_usb | /boot/efi |-sda2 8:2 0 2G 0 part /mnt/backup_usb | /boot `-sda3 8:3 0 950.8G 0 part `-ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 252:0 0 100G 0 lvm /
and cloned disk (vanilla mode) resulted in:
sdd 8:48 0 1,4T 0 disk |-sdd1 8:49 0 1G 0 part |-sdd2 8:50 0 2G 0 part /media/mune/07a0b567-dfb7-491c-a7b5-58ce5ebff8f4 `-sdd3 8:51 0 950,8G 0 part `-ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 253:0 0 100G 0 lvm
The server now is working, but the day it will be not I have to be prepared, so I'm testing now the recover on a miniPC (Intel N-290 , 256 GB SSD).
What is happening is that, even if the room is enough, Clonezilla live stopped the recovery complaining that space is insufficient.
