I have disk image stored on external usb hdd and need to restore it to pc.
sda1 is SSD 128GB and external is usb 500GB.

When it comes to step where I am asked to plug external device wait few sec and system shows that new usb dev has been found but... Next step is to mount external usb which is not done correctly.

On next screen there is no my external device (sdc1) its only local sda1 so I cannot continue with restoring.

What could couse such situation ?

External disk is working fine and when I plug it in led is on like it should be.
I tried already with another usb stick of 16GB and its the same.
Also I tried with different clonezilla version.

Do you know if the hardware is supported by Linux kernel? If not, you can try the latest alternative Clonezilla live 20150113-vivid which uses Linux kernel 3.18 and it might help.
//NOTE// Backup important data before you use Clonezilla. Just in case.

I guess it is supported as its standard HP external.
I tried also with clonezilla live 20150113-vivid and it didnt help.
I bought new sandisk usb flash 3.0 then put image on it and start restore. Now I moved a step further. sdb1 was recognized and mounted successfully. So I thought it will work but on next step where I was asked for disk image location (top directory of usb) it did not found. So restore failed again... : "no disk image is found..."

Does anyone have idea what can I do as its realy important to restore my data ?

Thanks. So what was the image name?
We might need to have a better way to check that when saving.

    Steven.
