I created the image of my Win7 partition. The disk was GPT. After the image was created i deleted all partitions and converted the disk to MBR. Installed Debian and reserved 250gb FREE SPACE to restore my Win 7 image with clonezilla..

I tried to restore with default setting but gave me error, it couldn't find a partition, i can't remeber right now exactly the error. I tried again  with advanced setting, but changed nothing, andt failed again. So i booted into another HD with win 7 to get help, and i see if something has changed on the HD.. and… all my partition was changed.. Disk again GPT, and the partitions were all changed, like i never formatted the disk.. all my debian partition are gone and there is only that win7 partition and free space.. (The same as when i created the image).

But i can't explain how can i have again that win 7 partition! I formatted, deleted all partitions and installed debian.. How is that possible?? Clonezilla didnt copied anithing because it gave me error like 5 sec after it 'started'..

Anyway i need to do again all.. but, what is the method and the options to only copy the files inside the image on a partition without change disk table and other partitions?  Thank you!

Which version of Clonezilla live did you use?
Did you try the latest Clonezilla live, e.g. 1.2.13-5? There is some improvement about uEFI/GPT.

I'm always confused over which version. Normally 686 works but should I try AMD or 486?  Working with intel CPU pcs xp pro.

    Try i686 version first.
Actually all of them should work for modern PC.
