Hi,
After a successful restoration of an image with clonezilla 2.6.2-15 on a laptop Dell Latitude 3400, during the reboot the bios is slowly starting loading and hangs. We cannot access to BIOS, boot a device or access diagnostics. After many tries with Dell support, the only solution is to change the motherboard.
We crash so far two computers.
The problem seems to be exactly the same but with a different model : https://sourceforge.net/p/clonezilla/bugs/310/

Not 100% sure but same with 2.6.3-7
No idea. It's reported the issue was fixed for Clonezilla live >= 2.6.1-25, and you are the only one so far to report that it still has the issue.
Maybe you can ask Dell to test it? For Clonezilla live >= 2.6.1-25, and confirm this issue.

Just had the same problem with 2x Dell Latitude 3400. Won't proceed past black screen with Dell logo, can't enter BIOS. This is using Clonezilla 2.6.5.21.
Anything new we can try?
We tried newer and older versions of clonezilla without success.
Now we are using FOG for those machines.
You might be able to use the option "-iefi" to make Clonezilla does not to update the uEFI setting.
In the bug #310, the issue is due to the firmware bug, and we have fixed that. Dell Taiwan and AMI Taiwan have confirmed that the issue and if newer firmware is available, an update about that might avoid this issue.
However, I am not sure if your issue is the same as #310.
If your machine is in warranty, or you can ask local Dell to fix foryou, then try the option '-iefi". If this does work for you, then the issue definitely is in the firmware again.
