So the system hangs there.
Despite with debug and more verbal option, there are nothing in the log to explain deeply about this failure.
Could you point to the possible root cause please ?
We got stuck for quite some time already.
Thank you,
Best regards,
K.
So this is for Clonezilla SE? Did you upgrade the system? If so, please follow
http://drbl.org/installation/#upgrade
to upgrade DRBL.
BTW, you can try to use DRBL live for this, maybe this is easier.
Steven
Hi Steven,
Thanks for your reply.
No we have not upgraded the system. In our environment, we can not decide to do such thing easily.
Cloning on 2 servers HP DL380 G9 without any issue. But the 3rd server, that failed as specified above error message.
We would like to know more about.
Anyway, i just see that the 3rd Server has different model (EH0600JEDHE vs EH0600JDXBC) and in firmware (HPD4 vs HPD3) but the same size.
Could this be the reason ?
Thank you,
K.
Maybe this is Linux kernel/hardware support related issue. Not sure.
Is that possible you can first give Clonezilla live a try?
Steven
But in the linux log, there are nothing reporting about the error.
We had chosen years ago for SE version as it is centralized for cloning our servers. Afraid that to adopt this new thing will have to change the way we do the job.
Hi Steven,
I am having a look at the capability of clonezilla live version but didnt see the example of how to :
Could you confirm about the possibility for doing such thing (as did Server Edition) please ?
Thank you,
K.
Hi,
Sorry for the late I was very busy this month.
As for your 1st two questions,
you can find doc about that in
http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live-doc.php
For your 3rd question, the external server is like the NAS server which you can save and read the image. It does not have to be booted from Clonezilla live.
As for 4th question, if you want to deploy many computers at the same time, you can use Clonezilla SE, i.e., DRBL live.
