At this moment I am not able to make an image of a XFS file system neither with any version of Clonezilla. The XFS filesystem is OK according to all tools.
It looks like I have successfully created the image with the 20150824 clonezilla.
I have not tried to restore yet, but it looks very promising. The empty partition was instantly cloned this time.

I can also report success creating a disk image, where the disk has a XFS partition, with the latest update to Clonezilla. I have not tried installing the image yet.
One item to examine is the time calcuation/prediction. I noticed that it was incorrect for the XFS partition. The total time when finished was in agreement with the total number of bytes divided by the rate, but the time remaining during the cloning was off.
