example:
restore sda1 to sdb5, that fails with CloneCilla 2.1.0-26
Reason: Symlinks in /temp/ get the wrong filename, should be sdb5 and not sdb1
Perhaps also incorrect in the file "parts"?!!
Which version of Clonezilla live did you use? Please tell us the steps you have done in details. We would like to reproduce the problem here. Thanks.
Steven.
Hi,
I have CloneZilla 2.1.0-26.
Linux naming convention: Produce an image of /dev/sda1 and restore that image to another partition, say /dev/sdc5
CloneZilla now renames links to the sda1 images in /temp but they get the wrong names and therefore coneZilla cannot restore to sdc5.
CloneZilla searches for /temp/sdc5* but cannot find the images of sda1, because the LINKS got wrong names!!
I renamed the links in /TEMP and the file "parts" and everything was fine
Hope, you can reproduce the problem now.
