Hello,
I'm looking to confirm an issue which I've encountered before claiming that it is a bug.
On Windows with Emacs and SLIME the break keys in SLIME (C-c C-c and C-c C-b) don't do anything. Ending code like (loop) is impossible. For reference SBCL works as expected with both the SLIME break and just passing in an escaped Ctrl-c. The CLisp REPL in CMD works perfectly with Ctrl-c.
I only have checked so far with the default Windows Native Emacs and CLisp, 2.48 and 2.49. I have SLIME from MELPA installed. These are all pre-packaged software but I would like to know if any other person has these same circumstances before I go to the effort of compiling all of these packages on Windows.
Thanks,
Evan Root
I've found that this issue is very old, 2005, and was in a file called "problems." And some of the great lisp hackers know about it, e.g. Edi Weitz. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.lang.lisp/W3oilSqWeLQ
