on a CentOS system I see
$ ./clisp -E utf-8 -q -norc -L french -x '(sys::text "Bye.")'
"� bient��t!"
on a Ubuntu system I see
$ ./clisp -E utf-8 -q -norc -L french -x '(sys::text "Bye.")'
"Bye."
How do I debug this?
