I already tried that, but invoked it in the wrong directory/wrong 
environment - it complained about missing object files.
Where and how do I need to run the command? (This is why I asked how the 
command is contructed - my idea was to change the corresponding Makefile 
or script).

you might find this patch helpful in this endeavor, but, if it does not,
please keep trying to reorder the command line by hand.

Bruno, note that there is an "-lintl" in the link command line.

   configure invocation)

1. could you please try the hg tip instead of the release?

2. these warnings indicate that _Noreturn is not defined on your platform:

3. "stdbool.h: No such file or directory": please make sure that
   gllib/stdbool.h is present in the build directory and try the

I don't remember what your platform is.
where is errno declared on your box?
note that <errno.h> is included before unix.d which defines OS_errno
which expands to errno on unix when, apparently, triggers your error.
could you please investigate? (by starting with a fresh configure in a
separate directory)

I've not tried the patch you proposed. However with latest changes
something went wrong with errno (gllib?). My build (on the same
machine) now ends with:

I have almost the same setup:
MINGW32_NT-6.0 MICHAEL-PC 1.0.17(0.48/3/2) 2011-04-24 23:39 i686 Msys
GCC 4.5.2

I don't have winternl.h and ntstatus.h. I assume configure checks for
them because they are needed on cygwin.

Only ddk/ntifs.h is needed for NtQueryInformationFile (instead of
ddk/winddk.h and/or ddk/ntddk.h).

With the attached diffs boot/lisp.exe compiles, but not base. (same
error as reported by Angel Popov on cygwin). I tried to investigate but
didn't make any progress... How is this last linker command constructed?
Is it correct to define DLL_EXPORT and PIC?

This is counterproductive.
We can do this "once a day" exchange forever, and we need to make a
release RSN (the last one was 13 months ago!)
Please be proactive: investigate errors, try fixing them, submit patches.

the bug has been fixed in the source tree (mercurial/hg).
you can either wait for the next release (recommended)
or check out the current mercurial tree (see http://clisp.org)
and build CLISP from the sources (be advised that between
releases the source tree is very unstable and may not even build
on your platform).

Hi,

Looking at CLISP macroexpansions after my (gensym "NAME-") patches made me discover the following irregularity.

The pattern variable for loop destructuring is bound twice.  I don't think the reason for duplication is special tricks with shadowing, I rather believe it's a small bug, producing no known error.

the bug has been fixed in the source tree (mercurial/hg).
you can either wait for the next release (recommended)
or check out the current mercurial tree (see http://clisp.org)
and build CLISP from the sources (be advised that between
releases the source tree is very unstable and may not even build
on your platform).
