Softpedia.com is, imho, one of the best software libraries on the net. No idea
how it works, but I've rarely seen good software not listed there, so I'm
guessing it's free. You'll notice that CSMenu, Classic Start Menu, and Vista
Start Menu are all listed, yours should be too! http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Shell-
Replacements/

Hmm. I see.
I'm not sure I want to though. Looks like this site offers downloads for all
the software. I'd rather have people download from Source Forge, because here
I always have the latest version. Also it will increase my page ranking, and
not Softpedia's.

You can choose to provide a mirror download link only on Softpedia, and you
can still keep everything as it is on SourceForge, so not sure if this would
impact page ranking. Vista Start Menu has nearly 100,000 downloads from
Softpedia alone. Anyway, just an idea. :-)

Of the many software download websites, I noticed Snapfiles lists Classic
Shell (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/classicshell.html). You can submit your app to these sites for
free and the downloads will explode. The extremely popular ones are:
Plus you can set up a Facebook page and a Wikipedia page (Wikipedia page
probably best not created by the developer) and the downloads will explode
even more. I recommend Ivo that you register on submit Classic Shell on these
sites. There are lots and lots of users browsing these sites for good quality
apps.

Alright. I just released the new version 3.2.0. If there are no major problems
with it for the next week I can look into publishing Classic Shell on some of
those sites. I would prefer if they link to Source Forge for the downloads
though.

I noticed that Classic Shell is not listed on Softpedia, is that because it is
a "project" and not software per se?
Yes, it is software. What is a Softpedia?

Scratch Brothersoft and Download.com from that list as they have started
wrapping installers in their own proprietary crapware.
