If I login with a username and password, the first page it goes to shows the correct name as being logged in, but if I click to go to a different page it shows "logged in as," with no username, and then tells me I don't have the proper access. Tried this on 2 different PCs, same result.
Any ideas?

try enabling cookies on either machine (the script needs them to operate)
The first page operates from the info you post in the login page, thats why that part works only

I have the same problem. I am sure it isn't a problem with cookies in my PC for I have tried lots of other sites without problems.
I must say that this problem only started once I changed the admin pass from nothing to something, heh. It seems like it has a problem managing passwords using cookies.

Yeah, I definately have cookies enabled. But thanks for the reply! Any other suggestions?

I think I know what the problem is. The LOG OUT feature causes this problem. The problem started happening to me once I clicked to log out. This problem may happen if you click to log out after changing your password aswell.
I suggest you to just comment out the log out feature from the script and once you are done, just close the window and log in using the form integrated in your site instead of the one in the admin script.

ok. we can try that. (removing logout routines) I belive you are right and that is where the problem is. There is no great need to logout and change users often anyways
I've removed the 'suspected' problematic code
and will post an updated cgi later tonight
the code (before) attempted to overwrite your current cookie with an expired null cookie, then moved you to the login page (a seperate subroutine).
the problem was that expired cookie, (worked great in mozilla =p), would probably work fine if the cookie had a bogus value, and was not expired, but as I said earlier. no real need for it (At this time)
the built in login feature *should" now work fine
