I have experienced a problem where the scheduled scan
does not work. I have set the times to 3:30 am to scan
hard drives c:\ and f:\ daily with windows XP for home
service pack 1. I have 4 users set up with one logged
in at the specified time. I have attached a zip file
containing my c:\Program Files\ClamWin directory.
It should contain the logs. Let me know if there is any
thing else I provide. ClamWin is cool!

Ok, the zip file was too large and would not post so I just
    attached the Clamscan.log.

Also I looked at the ClamWin.conf file and I see there are no
entries concerning scheduled time scan. Is this where the
times are supposed to be stored?

    Attaching .conf file also.

scheduler info is stored in ScheduledScans file, thanks for
attaching. It shows that you have 2 scans scheduled 03:30
AM. All I can see in the log files that these scans ran
today 13 May 2004. When did you set those scans to run at 03:30?

Also please note that you must have tray icon active in
order for the scheduler to work.

clamwin also writes some debug info to the temporray folder,
files are named clamwin1.log to clamwin4.log. They get
overwritten every time you start either tray module, clamwin
main application or scan from Explorer. So if you notice
that schedule did not run please copy these files promptly
and attach to the bug report. You will need to open those
files with notepad rather than copy them across as they are
    locked by clamwin.

Just re-read your initial post. A user has to be logged on
and clamwin tray icon must be running for the scheduler to work.

Please keep an eye on the scheduler and see if this happens
regularly (bearing in mind the above).

    Thanks,
    Alch

Another question, did it ever run a schedule for you?

I think I might know what the problem may be (not
necessarily true though, but worth trying). There is one
module missing in 0.33 setup, please download mxDateTime.pyd
(attached) and put it into c:\program files\clamwin\lib folder.

    Cheers,
    Alch

    I installed .33 version (previously I was at 3.0) I also
downloaded pyd file attached. Lets see what happens....

This fixed the problem. Both scans ran at 3:30 am as
    expected. Thanks!

This fixed the problem. I think you should include the
    mxDateTime.pyd in your distribution.

    Problem solved.

    Thanks for your help.
