Dear Chamoei.
Hope you are doing well. I am a big fan of CiteSpace (congratulations for it!), but I'm facing some problems when converting the RIS file (from Scopus, downloaded all fields), with the old and the newest version (made available today). I tried also with another file that I successfully used in a previous version of CS, but I still cannot fix the problem. It seems the CS is not reading the RIS file properly. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance (attached, the file).
Marcos
Dear Chaomei, thank you so much for your help.
However, using your file as input (Data file), CS is stuck (see screenshot).
For converting the file, I followed this setup:
Current version of CS. Downloaded the RIS format from Scopus (all fields selected for creating the RIS file). Project properties: project home (desktop/Project), data directory (desktop/Project/Data), data source (Scopus), preferred language (English). RIS file copied to Project folder and renamed (download_papers.ris).
Conversion: Scopus, Input (desktop/Project), Output (desktop/Project/Data). Scopus (RIS) > WoS.
The app is stuck and not concludes the conversion.
Thank you in advance all your support! Really appreciated.
Marcos.
Hello Akram. Maybe you are using the wrong version of CiteSpace. I noticed that after running tests with the files available. I use Mac, than you need to look if you are using the proper version.
Another possibility is not renamed properly the RIS file (download_XXX.ris).
Another one is that you need to convert the data before running the calculations.
Best luck,

Thank you Marcos, yes I tried another version and it worked. Although this new version has the limitation of 1000 nodes which was not matter in the previous version 5.8.R3! I have all my reports from previous version and just need some reports of centrality and burst, but my work has stopped due to this new limitation

I have purchased the advanced version of Citespace, however, I cannot convert Scopus RIS files because the Scopus (RIS) to WoS button is not active on the conversion screen. Please help. Finally, when converting Scopus CSV files for use in Citespace, the author fields are lost, and the CR field for completing the analyses is missing. Please help, dear Professor.
Dear Adrian
I believe the issue is with the metadata extraction from scopus. Be sure
that you are building the CSV file with all the fields available on scopus.
Best regards

Your setup is probably not quite right. I just converted your file without seeing any issues. See attached.
