Unable to convert tab-delimited files from Scopus

    Hi,

I am following all the instructions (1) csv -> tab delimited; 2) input and output directory correct as per the tutorial, 3) naming the files as download_x), however when I press the button to convert tab delimited -> WoS it's just loading forever and not working.

*p.s. this issue pertains regardless of whether the csv file has the first-row headers or I remove them.

    Uploading 2 files that show
    1) the file directory
    2) what the screen looks like when citespace is just stuck forever (waited 30-60 min, or more) even after clicking the button to convert. There is no output, just loading.

I am still tweaking a beta version of 5.8.R1. If you like to try it out, send me your email address, I can send you a link to download.

Did this get sorted? We also have problems with the csv -> tsv conversion. IMO the problem lies in Excel: if you have records with very many references with long titles, they may exceed the Excel char limit for a cell. That will mess up the tab-delimited file you export from Excel and CS will then not be able to accurately parse it. [BTW - that's also a problem with exports from the Lens.]
For those with this problem: our team is currently using ris exports from Scopus, which do work. Also - Bibliometrix actually does a fine job with csv-files out of the box, and you can then export the dataframe as an .Rdata file.
I know Chaomei is busy, but maybe adding an RData tab to the Data conversion menu might allow us to get Lens and Scopus data more easily into CiteSpace, and would also allo Chaomei to focus on the more 'substantive' parts of CiteSpace. Just a thought!
