When you attempt to use the Windows Open With feature to select Logisim for a circuit, the name that Windows provides is very un-intuitive if you have multiple versions of Logisim installed on your machine.

To illustrate the problem, I've attached a screenshot.

In the screen shot, the two Logisim entries point to two different versions of Logisim (2.3.6 and 2.6.2). However, from the listing, it is impossible to find out which one is which.

My request is to modify that string that Windows uses such that it starts with the Version Number of Logisim.

I'm running 32-bit Windows XP.

Thanks for the report. I would never have thought to check this, but I agree that it's quite an inconvenience. On the plus side - I'm happily surprised that Open With gives Logisim as an option. I didn't know it did that!

Unfortunately "Open With" doesn't point to Logisim by default.
You need to point to it the first time you try double clicking a circuit file (.circ). After that, it turns up as a option (or can be set to Open Always with Logisim)

The default option that turns up is either a web-browser or whatever editor/application is configured to open XML files.

Version 2.7.1, which I uploaded earlier today, repairs this issue. Thanks again.
