Hi,
I'm interested in using Church Rota, but can't see any recent development.
Is the project still active?
Would I be able to contribute ideas / features / code?

Thanks

Steve

    Hi Steve,

thanks for your interest in the project.
ChurchRota is beeing used in our church activly.

At the moment, it works as we want to use it / need it.
So there is no need of current development.
Of course, there could always be done documentation or some tasks.
But I am developping alone in my spare time, and I have other projects to do...

Yeah, sure, if you have any ideas, we can talk about it.
Even if you want to contribute, if your ideas ar not any strange ones ;-)
    Let's talk about it.

I have 2-3 ideas, that could be done.
These ideas are not necessary or big, but could still be usefull.
    I'll open issues for them.

    Ben

    Hey Ben,

Many thanks for getting back to me, so glad that the app is working well for you and that you are up for developing things further.
Our church had a enormous Excel spreadsheet where everything is entered... and it's nearly impossible to print it, let alone read the PDF... particularly on your phone.
I'm going to try and set up CR for the spring services to see how it works, and if I can persuade people to use it...

I just install 2.6 and am starting to play.

Out of interest, what's like like when viewed on a mobile?
Have you considered making the design responsive?

I also do a bit of development in my 'spare' time (I'm a Java dev by day and work PHP by night). So maybe I can help / make code change suggestions that you can merge into the main code?

    Will be intouch

Thanks again for making something like this available for others to use.

    Kind regards

    Steve
