[Chromium-dev] perf spu to profile command latency?

Has anybody written an SPU to profile the latency of commands as they go 
through the pipeline (e.g. time it takes for a GL command to get passed 
from application to HW)?  If not, I'm interested in writing this to get 
my feet wet, so if there are any pointers, they'd be much appreciated!
