After I finish exams next week, I'll start tracking this back down. The main issue for me is that I run MVAPICH/-2 to get IB performance. To really test and be involved, I'll need people who are willing to help. This will mean running LAM MPI-2. The code is known to work for simple cases, but has never been really beat on. Since support will require a specific MPI implementation, it will have to be a compile option like the other highspeed network layers. We will also need to revisit non-blocking communication support in the network layer. I'll probably hold off on this until a Chromium 1.8 release goes out the door.
