As far as I can see, we will have three translations - PL by Wojciech - IT by Bruno - FR by Olivier You will probably best start from the latest svn repo. There is a new button "Get tarball" in the sourceforge-homepage in case you do not have svn setup! I have just readded PL/IT and FR to the projects chessx.pro, so it's easier test the translation. I'll add a language changer in the next few days for easier testing! First thing you should do is compile, than probably easiest is to call lupdate chessx.pro Then first thing you should check: Each translation item should look like this <message> <location filename="../src/gui/analysiswidget.ui" line="40"/> <source>&Lines:</source> <translation>&Varianten:</translation> </message> There must be a location item, otherwise translation is really hard! Merge the location line back in if the lupdate tool deleted them. The trolls changed the lupdate tool in the past and sometimes the location line info gets lost! Then make translations with the linguist. If you are done or if old translations annoy you, call lupdate -no-obsolete chessx.pro which cleans up all obsolete entries. And if you are finally done or you want something checked in, please send the complete ts-file back to me. BTW: You find the translation source and target in the i18n folder. Have fun and take your time! Jens P.S: There is a description of the translation process at http://chessx.sourceforge.net/?q=node/42 You can omit steps 5&6 as I put the translation files into the chessx.pro (making step 5 obsolete), you can simply compile which will call lrelease. And step 6 is obsolete, as I put the resulting qm-file into the programs resource, thus after compilation, you will see the updated version. |
